Adult Coaching

You're not lazy. You've been using the wrong system.

ADHD coaching for adults who are tired of white-knuckling through a world that wasn't designed for how their brain works. We build systems that actually fit.

What We Work On

The patterns that keep showing up.

Most adults with ADHD I work with have already read the books, tried the apps, and bought the planners. The problem isn't information -- it's that those tools weren't designed for a brain that processes reward, time, and motivation differently. We start there.

About Jordan
Jordan Schatz, ADHD coach

Jordan Schatz, LMHC-LP

I'm a licensed mental health counselor and ADHD coach based in Brooklyn. I've spent the past several years working with kids, teens, and adults with ADHD -- and I built this practice because I kept seeing the same gap: smart people doing everything right by conventional standards, and still struggling because the system they were using wasn't built for their brain.

I was that kid. The ADHD wasn't something I studied from a distance.

Questions

Before you reach out.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Therapy is designed to treat mental health conditions and process emotional history. Coaching is forward-focused and practical -- we work on systems and strategies for right now. I have a background in both, which means I can recognize when something needs a different approach. Read the full breakdown here.
Do I need a formal ADHD diagnosis to work with you?
No. A diagnosis is useful context but not a requirement. If you're dealing with the patterns -- focus, follow-through, time blindness, emotional reactivity -- we can work on those regardless. If you're in New York or New Jersey and want a formal assessment, I offer those through my therapy practice at jordanschatz.work.
Is this covered by insurance?
Coaching is not covered by insurance. My therapy practice at jordanschatz.work accepts out-of-network benefits, but does not take in-network insurance.
Do you work virtually or in person?
All coaching sessions are virtual, so I can work with adults anywhere.
What if I've tried coaching before and it didn't work?
Worth talking about on the intro call. Sometimes the approach wasn't right for how your brain works. Sometimes the timing wasn't right. Either way, a 30-minute conversation will tell us quickly whether this is different.
